On the Complexity of Standard and Specialized DTD Parsing
نویسنده
چکیده
We investigate an extension of standard DTDs named s-xschemes yielding more expressive power. We show that s-xschemes which are also known as specialized DTDs have more convenient complexity properties than context-free languages. We invent the notions of proper-ness and 1-unambiguity for a close characterization of s-xschemes, whereby \1-unambiguity" is a restriction concerning expressive power while \properness" is not. With these conditions we show an eecient algorithm for parsing in linear time and space. We propose a concrete syntax and provide an implementation inside a parsing system.

XML schema validation using parsing expression grammars
Schema validation is an integral part of reliable information exchange on the Web. However, implementing an efficient schema validation tool is not easy. We highlight the use of parsing expression grammars (PEGs), a recognition-based foundation for describing syntax, and apply it to the XML/DTD validation. This paper shows that structural schema constraints in document type definitions (DTDs) c...
متن کاملبررسی مقایسهای تأثیر برچسبزنی مقولات دستوری بر تجزیه در پردازش خودکار زبان فارسی
In this paper, the role of Part-of-Speech (POS) tagging for parsing in automatic processing of the Persian language is studied. To this end, the impact of the quality of POS tagging as well as the impact of the quantity of information available in the POS tags on parsing are studied. To reach the goals, three parsing scenarios are proposed and compared. In the first scenario, the parser assigns...
متن کاملAn improved joint model: POS tagging and dependency parsing
Dependency parsing is a way of syntactic parsing and a natural language that automatically analyzes the dependency structure of sentences, and the input for each sentence creates a dependency graph. Part-Of-Speech (POS) tagging is a prerequisite for dependency parsing. Generally, dependency parsers do the POS tagging task along with dependency parsing in a pipeline mode. Unfortunately, in pipel...

What if two users disagree on the relationship between elements? In XML, we can use namespaces and schema to address this problem. XML. A DTD is a set of rules or declarations There are two different approaches to parsing. The converter allows you to convert a DTD or set of XML files, to an equivalent XML Schema, DTD, Advanced options allow the user to customize different conversion parameters....
متن کاملAn Applied Linguistics Look at the Linguistic Comparison of Nominal Group Complexity between Two Samples of a Genre
The roles and effects of changes in syntax on comprehension and processing effort, and the relationships between these two, comprise a large and separate field of inquiry, with the general belief now in place that such changes and variations bring about varied psycholinguistic and discursive implications for comprehension, manifesting themselves differently in different genres. The current study...
